Craig’s story

Craig encountered Christ on his own “sojourn” to Texas right after high school. On returning to the University of Minnesota as a new Christian, he was blown away by meeting students who really believed God could change the University. He joined the Chi Alpha Campus Ministry and was given student leadership. After graduation, he was asked to start a campus ministry at Minnesota State U in Mankato. Following that he was invited back to the “U” to restart Chi Alpha here.

Craig and Michele met at the church and married in 1994. They have six children, which reveals Craig’s catholic roots and Michele’s amazing capacity as a mom!

Since 1997, Craig and Michele have been pouring out their lives in pastoring this church.

In 2000, Craig and Greg Silker met and began doing ministry together. By 2004, Greg was director of Chi Alpha and leading a growing staff team. For more on the Chi Alpha team, check out the Campus Journey Chi Alpha link.

Personal Vision

Pastor Craig’s personal vision is to see the body of Christ healed, strengthened and equipped in ministry. He sees his role in this as:

1. Praying for the fruitfulness and wholeness of each member

2. Teaching and preaching to strengthen and challenge believers to live out a life of discipleship

3. Counseling and equipping for wholistic life in Christ - This includes mentoring leaders, marital and pre-marital counseling, personal spiritual development and breaking life-controlling habits.

His prayer for you: “May God reveal who you are in Christ, deliver you from lies and sinful bondage, and set you on a path of wholeness and fruitfulness of life in Christ. Amen!”
